Caliente Trio "As part of our live production we have recently discovered Bartlett Microphones. Their Guitar Mic provides high gain and natural sound. Solved a lot of sound issues. Most functional microphone we have discovered. We use these plugged into either AER or Acoustic Image amps for on-stage monitoring then DI into the house system if we need. Thanks Bruce...Hassle-free quality sound." Caliente Trio MySpace page "The Guitar Mic is an awesome microphone, a great piece of engineering. That's the best sound I've heard in my life for sound reinforcement of an acoustic guitar. Thanks for providing a tool that I can use to better produce my music. Your fan, Mark Rose, Brokkenstik Musik" "The Cello Mic sounds great. Very satisfied. Thanks for the quality product at a great price." -- Jim Shelley "The Cello Mic is fabulous and has made quite a few people just a wee bit jealous! It fits the tailpiece well, and I like the flexibility of being able to pop it on and take it off quickly and easily. The sound is lovely. Thanks for your speedy delivery and advice."-- Laura Sheridan "The Guitar Mic is awesome. Finally a clip-on that works! Beautiful balanced sound. Ultra high output. Easy to fit. Really happy with the product. Years of search are finally over. I will place another order soon, meanwhile I will mention it to all here in Australia." -- Cheers, Al Valodze, Pembroke Music Dept. "Today I did a test and the Guitar Mic was FANTASTIC, better than any pickup. The classical guitar sounds very natural and the balance between bass and treble is perfect. Thank you so much for helping us, the musicians, perform with volume and exquisite sound." --Aris www.arisguitarist.com "The Guitar Mic B sounds absolutely phenomenal on my old Martin played through the Fender Acoustasonic amp. Couldn't be happier about it." -- Mathew Thornton "Can you say the best mic yet? I am shocked at how good this Guitar Mic sounds...it delivers a completely non colored sound a nearly perfect duplication of the natural sound of the guitar!!!!!! And the best part I am getting no feedback and am able to crank up the volume louder and clearer than ever before!!!!! Can't wait to try this at my next gig!"-- http://www.rumbaking.com/ www.foroflamenco.com "I have heard the Guitar Mic which is clipped onto the guitar and the sound is very natural and uncoloured, relatively high gain, balanced without the mid range 'honk'...similiar to a DPA, less muddy than the Audio Technica Pro 70 (a much better option IMO)" -- Alva (aficionado) www.foroflamenco.com "The battery-powered Bartlett Guitar Mic B is compatible with wireless systems AND "circuit breaking" mute switch guitar cables. All together with the added benefit of increased fidelity from avoiding phantom power. My dear friend and self-proclaimed audio snob Chris Kindler described the sound as "High Definition Audio delivered to the audience" after a recent concert in Pacifica. Paired with the Fishman Solo Amp, this setup gives powerful, natural and rich feedback-resistant sound. Your guitar..... louder, the way only an amazing condenser microphone can deliver. After using these mics all summer I can say comfortably that I don't want to do a show without them. A huge thanks to Bruce Bartlett for listening to guitars and guitarists and creating such amazing products. A small company solving a HUGE issue that I have been struggling with for over 15 years." -- Jason McGuire, flamenco guitarist/teacher "The moment I played my mandolin into the Spark Mini Mic I knew that the microphone was an instant favorite in my collection. My mandolin sounded like my mandolin! Every nuance was captured, and the evidence was in the playback. You've really created a nice microphone, Bruce, and I'm glad to own one. It's an amazing little mic and the price point is unbeatable." -- Jay Lapp (with Trent Wagler and Jay Lapp, formerly with the Goldmine Pickers) "I had a little time tonight to try your Bartlett Fiddle Mic... The Fiddler was Jamie Laval: http://www.jamielaval.com/ He currently uses a Countryman Isomax. We first tried the Countryman B3, and he liked it, maybe a bit more than his Isomax. Then we tried the Bartlett Fiddle Mic, and he definitely liked it better than the Isomax or B3." -- Weogo Reed "Darcie Deaville, a singer-songwriter who also plays fiddle in the Austin Lounge Lizards... liked the Fiddle Mic quite a bit, which is pretty impressive since she usually uses either a Neumann U47 or U87 in the studio. We got a nice sound out of the violin in standard tuning, and it was more or less a push between the Sanken CU-41 and the Bartlett Fiddle Mic as to preference, but on the fiddle in open tuning, we definitely preferred the Bartlett sound. " -- Mike Jasper, Tape Op magazine #78. "The Guitar Mic is the best thing I have tried on my guitars in 25 years of searching and trying literally every other mic and pickup under the sun. Bartlett Mics are incredibly natural, transient response is amazing." "Just plug in to record... no fuss... no fan noise or room acoustics... punch in parts later without worrying about the mic position. All this plus great sound live with incredible isolation and feedback resistance... its a no-brainer." - Jason McGuire, Flamenco Guitarist/Teacher "We are finishing this amazing project with the Ebony Hillbillies. The Fiddle Mic is working perfectly both for recording and live sound with no feedback problems. (The EHs played Spoleto last week.) The recording quality is excellent. We placed it under the tailpiece where the strings attach facing towards the neck for a dry sound and moved it toward the f-hole for a warmer effect. We are going for a violin sound on several numbers, and that has been great also." --Richard Alderson, recording engineer-producer, aldersonacoustics.com "My name is Henrique Prince, and I am the fiddler in a band called the Ebony Hillbillies. Richard Alderson of AldersonAcoustics brought me one of your little microphones (Fiddle Mic) a few weeks ago so that i could feel free and comfortable when I recorded for him. Your microphone is the best amplification device I have ever used hands down, no contest. In the studio or live it has been spectacular. We recently(June 3,2010) played an outdoor venue at the Spoleto USA festival in Charleston, SC. We sold the place out,(1,700 seats) a very large stage and a good sound crew. My microphone made the crew look like geniuses. Perfect in the floor monitors and out in the crowd. I'm hooked. If I could find a pickup that worked this well, I'd really be in business. Once again, the sound reproduction and ease of use of your creation is dazzling. Can't wait to get another one. Truly impressed." -- Henrique Prince, The Ebony Hillbillies "The Fiddle Mic pretty much beats everything I've tried so far, and that includes direct comparison with some of those high-end Scandinavian mics. How can the mic be so loud, so sweet, and no noise floor? It is a lot less cumbersome than the ones that arc over the fiddle, and the price is right. I want one for every instrument I own!" -- Darol Anger, Republic Of Strings, Turtle Island String Quartet, Associate Professor at Berklee School of Music. "The Guitar Mic is just an outstanding microphone! Crystal clear and pristine. My guitar has never sounded better." -- George Schricker, singer/songwriter "I found a sweet spot on my archtop Godin ... the Guitar Mic sounds so much better than the pickup it's unbelieveable. My pickup sounds very strange, and the A string is not as loud as the other strings. But now with this mic the problem is eliminated. It sounds like gold when I put it in my L'Arrivée, and I even get more volume than I can with the pickup." -- Southside Denny, guitarist/songwriter/teacher "The Fiddle Mic is the best fiddle mic I have ever used!" -- David White, musician "Your Spark Mini Mic had hands-down far superior sound to [my] pickups. Best reproduction of all the instruments was on fiddle.....nearly perfect. Even the banjo sounded good." -- Jim Krowka, musician "I'm very impressed with the sound of the Guitar Mic. I spent quite a bit of time tonight in our church, playing here and there among the pews to judge the sound in the environment. The guitar sounded stellar with your microphone." -- Scott Marquardt, musician "I cannot tell you how amazing the Spark Mini Mic and Fiddle Mic sounded. Really great" -- Christopher Koltay, recording engineer, Detroit, MI "The Banjo Mic sounded perfect." -- Matthew Thornton, sound mixer, Buchanan, MI Magazine reviews
