The Spark Mini Mic is a professional quality, miniature, omnidirectional condenser mic for recording acoustic instruments such as a guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, bouzouki, piano, and so on. It requires 12-48V phantom power which most mixers provide.

If you want to amplify a guitar, we recommend the Guitar Mic or the Guitar Mic B. The Spark Mini Mic is better for recording a guitar.

If you want to amplify or record a fiddle, we recommend the Fiddle Mic because it is specially voiced for the fiddle or violin.
