Soundhole Clip and mic Clip mounted on a guitar

THE GUITAR MIC B   $189

Need a battery-powered guitar mic with great sound and high volume? Check out the Guitar Mic B. It's a professional quality, miniature microphone that clips on an acoustic guitar for sound reinforcement. It accurately conveys the timbre of your instrument to your audience.

The mic mounts on the front surface of the guitar just inside the sound hole. This placement results in excellent isolation from the singer, and high volume before feedback occurs. A Soundhole Clip is supplied for mounting. It's covered in rubber to prevent damage to the sound hole.

A mic mounted inside the sound hole normally sounds boomy, but the frequency response of the Guitar Mic B rolls off in the low frequencies to compensate. The result is a natural, non-boomy tone.

The Guitar Mic B includes a 9-volt battery box that clips onto your guitar strap or belt. The battery box has a 1/4" phone jack which connects to a guitar amp, wireless mic transmitter, or direct box.

The Guitar Mic B offers a very natural sound for flamenco guitars, as you can hear in the recording demo below. Because it is a microphone and not a pickup, it sounds "acoustic" rather than "electric", and it picks up body tapping as well as string sounds.

What's the difference between the Guitar Mic and Guitar Mic B?
The two mics sound the same.

Guitar Mic: Its XLR connector plugs into a mixer with phantom power. If the mixer does not have phantom power, use a phantom power supply between the mic and mixer, such as the ART Phantom I or Behringer PS400. Or use an acoustic amp with a phantom-powered XLR mic input, such as a Fishman Loudbox 100, AER Compact 60, Schertler Unico, or Acoustic Image Coda/Ten2.

Guitar Mic B: Battery powered. Its 1/4" phone jack plugs into a guitar amp, wireless mic transmitter, or direct box. The direct box can plug into a mixer.
