Cello Mic

How to mount the Cello Mic on a cello

Cable strain relief

THE CELLO MIC    $179

The Cello Mic is a professional quality, miniature condenser mic for amplifying or recording a cello. It accurately conveys the beautiful timbre of your instrument to the audience with a warm, sweet tone.

Included is a foam mount which fits between two strings under the bridge and firmly holds the mic between the strings and cello body. The soft, light foam mount has no effect on your instrument's sound.

The Cello Mic requires 12-48V phantom power which is supplied by most mixers. The mic also can plug into an acoustic amp with a phantom-powered XLR input, such as the Fishman Loudbox 100, AER Compact 60, Schertler Unico, or Acoustic Image Coda/Ten2.

Features and Benefits:

  • Wide, smooth frequency response provides a natural acoustic sound -- much better than a pickup
  • Soft housing will not scratch your instrument
  • Compared to a stand-mounted mic, the Cello Mic offers less clutter on stage, provides more consistent volume and tone, and allows freedom of movement. No heavy mic stands to carry!
  • High sensitivity and low-impedance balanced output provide a strong, hum-free signal
  • Permanently attached 8-foot cable with XLR connector
  • Made in USA
  • 2-year warranty, money-back guarantee
